You'll need:
US size 8 needles
2 balls of worsted, medium weight Red Heart Soft Yarn (256 yds) in Mid Blue (you won't need all of both balls. If you can find one ball of 325 yards, that should probably be enough!)

- Cast on 48 stitches with the Long Tail Cast-on Method (or the Thumb Cast-on Method)
- R1, R3, R7: (p2, k2)*, p12, k8, p12, (k2, p2)*
- R2, R4, R6, R8: (k2, p2)*, k12, p8, k12, (p2, k2)*
- R5: (p2, k2)*, p12, CF8, p12, (k2, p2)*
- Repeat Rows 1 - 8 until desired length
